The Senior Prefects' Investiture 2021/2022

The senior prefects’ investiture 2021/2022 of Holycross  college was held on 2oth January 2022 at the school premises. This event was held under the patronage of the school principal Rev. Sr. Darshika and Rev, Father Prasanna Rohana, the parish priest of the Miriswatte. The event started with the former head prefect handing over the college flag to the principal and then denoting the newly appointed responsibilities Rev.Sr, Darshika, the principal handed over the flag to the newly elected head prefect Ms. Sathnara Perera. After invoking the blessing of God and blessing the badges by Rev fatherPrasanna and lightning of the traditional oil lamp for success this event. The badging ceremony started. Ms. Sethmi Sathnara who has been selected as the senior prefect for this year. The former prefects greeted the newly selected board of prefect by handing over the lamps. The new board of prefects took the oath in the presence of the principal and teachers and all the other prefects also took oath. 26 students have been apointed as senior prefects and 32 students have been named as the stewardesses for the year 2022.
