The much-anticipated Annual Sports Meet of Holy Cross College, Gampaha,was held on 21st of Feb.2025 igniting the spirit of teamwork, dedication, and excellence among young sportswomen of our college. We were honoured to have the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, *Ms. Sandya Rodrigo* , the first national gold medalist of our college at a national level tournament and now a highly respected Physical Training Instructor. Her inspiring journey from a young athlete at Holy Cross to a national champion and mentor serves as a beacon of motivation for our students. The most significant moment was the arrival of Rev. Sr. Nellie Helen and Rev.Sr. Dharshika, our former principals to grace the occasion. They were in an immense happiness to witness the talents of our young blood. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Sr. Nuwanthi, our Principal, Rev. Sr. Subasiri,the Deputy Principal, and all other dedicated Reverend Sisters. With most gratitude and respect, we thank Mrs. Thushari Perera, the teacher in charge of sports, Mrs. Nimmi Perera, and Mrs. Darsha Nonis for their dedication,motivation, and guidance to bring out another memorable event of success this year.and Also, we thank all the teachers, parents, and the students for their commitment behind this. A warm welcome is also extended to the distinguished guests from the Zonal Education Office and Principals from nearby schools, whose presence added prestige to this grand occasion. Among the four houses, *Cecili House* secured the championship of the year, while, *Therese House* , *Agnes House* and *Goretti House* won 2nd , 3rd, 4th places, respectively. Best wishes to all the competitors as they displayed true sportsmanship, perseverance, and passion. "Kudos to everyone who made the event a great fruition!"
